Roger Carr Plant Hire
Our Services
From a simple trench to an all-weather gallop and everything in between R G Carr Plant Hire has the expertise for the job. I have laid shed bases, farm tracks, roads and yards, worked on ditching, ponds, landscaping, drainage works, general building site ground works, demolition, quarry work, stone and rubble crushing, as well as equestrian gallops and arenas, and even ground source heat pump systems. I have been contracted for huge landscaping and lawn projects at York and Beverley racecourses.
Please note that I do not hire machinery out self drive.
Our Solution
As a small business, I offer a highly personal service, being hands on the job, ensuring the customer receives the satisfaction he expects, at a very competitive price.
No job is too great or too small.
I specialise particularly in the Agricultural and Equestrian markets, having worked at York and Beverley racecourses, and laid equestrian gallops, arenas, walk ways and worked for many local landowners and estates.
I have a strong connection with racing, my wife is Ruth Carr who trains racehorses here at Mowbray House where I am based.
About
I trained as an agricultural engineer and welder and for 7 years worked as a relief low loader driver. I then gained experience working as a HGV and Plant fitter for 6 years.
I bought my first mini digger in 2001 as a part time project and soon added a tracked shovel and 6 ton excavator.
In 2006, employing my father Geoffrey who had a life time's experience of the plant trade, I gave up full time employment and concentrated on expanding my own business.
